Mental health is a state of well-being in which a person understands his or their abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and can make a contribution to his or her community. Bibliophiles, who are generally thought to be introverted, may have difficulties in discussing their problems openly to ask for help. We have taken the initiative to help those fiction-loving people to face their real-world problems.
Make an iOS app
For Bibliophiles
To help Mental Health
User research is the methodic study of target users—including their needs and pain points—so we have the sharpest possible insights to work with to make the best designs. We have surveyed with a few questions to gain some knowledge about our target users.
The solution should be simple and something that is easy to get into, so that we don't have to put any pressure on the user to use a solution that is not a part of their everyday lives. Phones have become an integral part of our lives and many bibliophiles often enjoy their books on those very phones. So we just have to make an app that can help improve someone’s mental state targeted specifically to bibliophiles.
The sample size for the research conducted was very less so the information collected regarding the pain points of the users may not be accurate. By collecting feedback, having a section where people can add others as friends and put comments about their favourite books can be uplifting and give the users a feeling of belonging and create good social interactions. Also having an appreciation factor, like sending a high five to a friend after they perform a good habit and record it on the app would be a nice way to get positive feedback for the users. Targetting and focusing the app features on helping one specific mental illness rather than a general mental health factor for an individual user would also be great.
